Quotations about Audio Books

Welcome to my page of quotations about audio books. Personally, I can't stand the things. I understand their value to people with impairments, but other than that I just don't get it. You can't skim or skip, or go at your own pace, or stop and savor, or re-read a fantabulous sentence five more times. Or circle a great quote, or use it to cover your face from the sun! And if I can't see the words, my mind wanders or I drift off to sleep. However, I did read something recently from an online book reviewer who mentioned the benefit of being able to roll your eyes during poorly written parts without losing your place on the page. So there's one thing in their favor. Well, that and they save trees. So maybe they're not so bad after all. Enjoy the quotes! —ღ Terri
